Two All!

Fantastic to see Team NZ pull away on leg three to end with a win today. Yippee!! Two all - bring it on!

We enjoyed a day of sun burn in front of the "big screen" at the village yesterday watching the first race and attempting to catch ourselves on camera with TVNZ. Forgot the "Hello Appleby School" banner but Hunter wore his All Black shorts with NEW ZEALAND printed across his posterior. By the end of the afternoon he had shaking his "toosh" to the offending Alinghi supporters (and man with swiss cow bell) down pat ...and managed to win him (and his toosh) a camera viewing on what I thought was a TVNZ camera. Turns out it was a camera man from "world feed" ... so sorry NZ...we have moved to bigger and better audiences!

Zoe

I will have to come and live in Spain so I can have my birthday on the longest day instead of the shortest Day!

Can't wait for the next race.
Game on NZ!

What was Hamley's Toy shop like?
Did you buy any toys?
Jack wants to know what it was like in the big ferris wheel bubble.
Did you hear Big Ben telling the time?
Shawn wants to know how you felt watching team NZ win the race.
We are really happy and proud! We can't for the next race.
We will have to get up early to watch the replay at breakfast time tomorrow. Who is going to win????
NZ we hope!

Hi Janine, Rod and family. Great pictures. Your trip sounds absolutely perfect except for the rain. We are loving reading about your experiences. Emma may have paid you a visit by now and Wendy is due sometime next week I think. We are also looking every night to see if we recognize anyone on the TV. Absolutely fantastic with the one all victory. We are keeping our fingers crossed. In between times I have Wimbledon playing now so will keep me occupied until the next race. love to everyone. Karen

WOW - Race Three was a thriller - not sure if Rod was fidgeting with the computer graphics with all the changes in the lead!!! Love hearing about all your adventures. Roll on Race Four!

Hi Moutere
Hamleys store was the coolest toy store I have every been in. It had six (I think) levels high of toys! A man was showing us a flying saucer toy. We didn't buy it. I bought a sticker making machine with my birthday money. I can make my own stickers and I love it. Hunter got a fire engine that follows along a black pen line. You can draw a line on paper and it will follow it.
Jack - the ferris wheel was awesome. I could see all of Londons buildings. We saw Buckingham Palace where the queen lives from up high.
Shawn- we didn't hear Bin Ben ring the time.
Team NZ has won TWO races now. The last race was very exciting.
We are going to bike down to the village again today.
Tomorrow we have a day off.
I am looking forward to coming back to school.
Love from Zoe
Xx

This is the best way to visit daddy - 45 min bike ride down the promonade. You have to look out for trees and spanish ladies (Hunter found out!!)

Gullivers Travels

Gullivers Travels
In the old river Turia (river redirected long ago after continuous flooding) there are lots of playgrounds and bike tracks. The kids are playing on a huge giant Gulliver. There are lots of slides and stairs and ropes to climb. If you look hard you can see Gullivers head behind - the kids are standing on his arm.

The Spider Web

The Spider Web
A huge rope spider web on the beach is very cool to climb up (Mum only spent a very SHORT time at the top!!!)

It's not so bad having your cousins to play with every day!

Glad we were there at 1pm and not 12 noon. The bell chimes on the hour.
