Yippee! We have the first cup...let's hope there's another coming our way.
I think I have a bit of"buyers remorse" after nearly 12 hours shopping with the girls yesterday (and we still didn't get around the biggest shopping mall in Spain) - HEAVEN! ...even if I did have very sore feet!
We excitedly greeting Lisa and Gary at the train station this mornig. Wonderful to have them here and be able to show them around. Will keep you posted...

Arriving at Valencia train station

Finally there!
Transport

This is the best way to visit daddy - 45 min bike ride down the promonade. You have to look out for trees and spanish ladies (Hunter found out!!)
Gullivers Travels

In the old river Turia (river redirected long ago after continuous flooding) there are lots of playgrounds and bike tracks. The kids are playing on a huge giant Gulliver. There are lots of slides and stairs and ropes to climb. If you look hard you can see Gullivers head behind - the kids are standing on his arm.
The Spider Web

A huge rope spider web on the beach is very cool to climb up (Mum only spent a very SHORT time at the top!!!)
The playground

It's not so bad having your cousins to play with every day!
The Bell Tower (Cathedral)

Zoe took this picture of us on top of the Bell Tower- Easter Sunday
Views from the Bell Tower

Glad we were there at 1pm and not 12 noon. The bell chimes on the hour.

Firstly - HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOE!!!!!!!
We Wards are so sorry we missed it - (I had the wrong month and Fi put me right on that score)
What an amazing time you are all having. Hunter and Zoe look very much at home in their new Spanish lifestyle. Great to see you are really getting out and about and seeing some fantastic sights - love the cave house!!
One member of our family - we dont count Jeremy - has been globe trotting also. Abby and her two friends came second in Sweden in the Volvo Environment Comp and were awarded $8000 towards their campaign. Seems we havent seen the last of the dreaded plastic bag!! They had a whirlwind trip to Paris, Venice and New York, as well and are now well and truly bitten by the travel bug.
Nick and Grant left yesterday for the fielddays. Hope they get better weather than Nelson - grey skies and snow on Mt Arthur!!! What I'd give for a bit of Spanish sun right now!!
Anyway - lovely to have this great blog thingy to keep track of your time in Spain. Say hi to Lisa for me!!
Cheers EVE XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Hi Eve,
Thanks for your EMail. It is fantastic to hear from you. We have been half expecting to hear from Jeremy....but are almost booked up with visitors now until we leave. I guess you would have got in touch with us via Fe and Grant if he was planning to head this way.
I hear Nick sprained his ankle..not a good start. I trust he is fit and well enough to stand and sell pruning equipment to strangers at the field days!
We'll look forward to hearing about Abbey's trip.
Loads of love,

Dear Zoe
My dad got a toy from Hamleys toy store for me when I was 2. It is a piggy that walks along the floor. Anna plays with it now.
