Well the round robins have finally caught up. After what seems like a month of no wind, racing has finally picked up and organisers have managed to run two races a day to catch up. We have raced solidly with no breaks (as originally planned) .. and hence people are getting a little weary....
Back to one race a day we are looking forward to hopefully having Rod home between 5- 6pm each night rather than 8-9pm!
The races don't usually start until 1pm, but Rod has a 10am meeting each day - so the days are long. We are all hanging out for the first break (since Easter) on 10 May.
We had an electrical thunderstorm here last night - like nothing I have ever heard before. No rain, and very loud continuos bangs. Here's to a good night's sleep tonight.
Buenas noches

Arriving at Valencia train station

Finally there!
Transport

This is the best way to visit daddy - 45 min bike ride down the promonade. You have to look out for trees and spanish ladies (Hunter found out!!)
Gullivers Travels

In the old river Turia (river redirected long ago after continuous flooding) there are lots of playgrounds and bike tracks. The kids are playing on a huge giant Gulliver. There are lots of slides and stairs and ropes to climb. If you look hard you can see Gullivers head behind - the kids are standing on his arm.
The Spider Web

A huge rope spider web on the beach is very cool to climb up (Mum only spent a very SHORT time at the top!!!)
The playground

It's not so bad having your cousins to play with every day!
The Bell Tower (Cathedral)

Zoe took this picture of us on top of the Bell Tower- Easter Sunday
Views from the Bell Tower

Glad we were there at 1pm and not 12 noon. The bell chimes on the hour.

Have you been shoe shopping and too busy to blog? I have been waiting for your next instalment..... it is raining here (though warm) so any news of Spain would lift the spirits!
Love Lynne et al
Hey - well actually... I did have a bit of retail therapy on monday with a girlfriend (we both organised sitters for the day). Besides the fact that Zoe asked me if Beth (sitter) could look after them EVERY day.... and the fact that the shoe shops were unfortunately NOT everything they were cracked up to be (unless you like gold and silver shoes)... it was a good day (!) Good mental health day - and I did manage to make a wee dent in the cash after the visit to the central monday markets!
